H' thumkas can put any gal to shame..they re so graceful...
n v's jumping jack steps will get any damsel impressed...
while D and S are always hoverin arund the DJ to play punju songs...

we dont know ballet but i m sure weneva V puts his hand fwd, he ll swirl me n ensure i dont fall on my back with a thud:D
we dont know salsa but me and S will kick off our shoes n then search them evrywher in the hall..[COZ desi-salsa needs no heels;)]
we dont know belly dancin but wen i ve got cramps in my tummy S will put her arms round my tummy n groove on "gur naalo ishq mitha"
we dont know pre-decided, choreographed steps and the 1-2-3 of dance..coz wen ure on the floor u jus need to put yr hair down n let the music lead u...
we dont need to instruct one another to change steps...
its an automatic phenomena..
ppl call it co-ordination...
i call it "TELEPATHY"
i dunno wat it is...that clicks for the four of us..
maybe its a crazie love for dancin..
maybe its our frnship...
maybe coz its sheer fun dancin together..
n i dont think we 'd ever njoi dancin wid our Bfs, Gfs, crushes so as we do wen its us four...
whether its " yeh kaali kaali ankhen" on the iv bus..
or "dil dooba" on the last day of college on the classroom dias...
whether its "dhol jageero da" at my sis's weddin..
or "jaanu meri jaan" @ the reunion party:p
or the "chair dance" wen our legs are too tired to hit the floor..:D
U l see a perspiring V and H with a drenched sweaty shirt and a panting S and a exhausted D whom they re all advising not to dance more coz of her health..
N then dj uncle plays a super kewl number and they all rush again dancing like noones watchin! ( and in the excitement conveniently forgetting that the exhausted D is back twisting n shaking away to glory:D
Or u may see D and S leg in leg dancing wereva dey get space if not in d hall then on the stage:D
Bhangra is performed on "waiting for tonite" n break dance on "soni de nakhre";p
Any song is danceable as long as we re together:)
We aint any farah or saroj khan.. But who cares?as long as ppl make way for us on the floor( no! not coz of my increasing size I swear!

This post of yours reminded me of my post graduation days. We had 4 girls in the class, all became good friends with each other in no time. These were the dancing troop of the college! Their dances were in sync whether performed on-the-spot or rehearsed.
Also, I remembered how when among friends we dance as if no one is watching. No matter how embarrassing the steps are, it does not matter. It is pure adrenalin rush and nothing less.
With your permission, I dedicate this post to the dancing troop and all my friends who have patiently tolerated my meaningless dance steps.
