travellogue..........part 1:):) (jodhpur)

girls n guyssss........thot i l put up sumthing newww on d blog....

so for all those who luvvvvvv travellin n especially traveliin n discoverin incredible india....

travellogue is HERE:)

i begin wid jodhpur.....one of the most beautiful n colourful towns of rajasthan!!!

the majestic meheraungad....the colours of tripolia bazzaar...the simplicity of people...the artistic woodwork...the delicious dal batti choorma...the inexpensive shopping...welcum to jodhpur....the gateway to the desert!!

best time to visit: oct-jan (i went in november) lots of tourists out der in november-dec...(due to the pushkar fair) so make sure u hav all yr bookins done:)

places to must visit:

meheraungad fort

jaswant thada

umaid bhavan[ u can skip dis..all u get to c is gud kingly glass pieces;)]

if u r a impulsive shopper do visit small old traditional bazaars:

lakhera bazaar[ for inexpensive lac bangles...u can actually c dem make it...its kewll]

n tripolia bazaar next to nayi sadak..[ for tie n dye textiles, bandhej, bandhni, block prints...u can get a bedsheet here for rs. 100]:) i shopped for dupattas which cost me 60 bucks each..hehe

mind u these bazzars consist of small lanes n bylanes so walkin is the best n only option:P

do visit national handloom emporium[ they wont cheat u while private showrooms may take u for a ride;)] national handloom offers everthing...wooden jharokhas..artifacts..gem stone paintings for 100 bucks...gud cotton kurtis..mojaris...n evrything u mite want to buy at really inexpensive prices:)

for eating there are hosts of places but make sure u try d dal choorma once at least..really heavy..but worth eatin once[;)]

on yr way to umaid bhavan u ll see manyyyyyyyy shops selling wooden cupboards cabinets trolleys...jharokas...make sure u c these beautiful pieces...takes u years back into the kingly household of all marvar kings...

i always get confused rite...mewar is udaipur n marvar is jodhpur:):)

n the most memorable thing for me is MEHERAUNGAD FORT..majestic...unconquerable...n mesmerising..treat for history admirers n fotograpie freaks...u feel like capturin each n evry tiny part of this fort into yr camera n live back the lives of the kings who once stayed there:)

the view of the jaswant thada n the blue city[ houses of the potters r painted blue] is awesum...

MUST MUST MUST: to avoid the bak bak of local guides n exclude their mirch masala---- the most accurate way of discoverin this historic monument- TAKE AN AUDIO TOUR!

u l just hav to put the headfones on..n set out on yr own wid the audio directing you the way....from the artillery to the phul mahal to the moti mahal...n endin the breathtakin tour in the courtyard of the queens-zenana deodi-u can actully picturise the former queens havin the time of their lives here...

so make sure u do all d above mentioned thingies..hehe..it l only make yr trip more memorable..ahem ahem...

untill the next travellogue is ready...

over n out:)
